Zero Wave #3 feat. Gagarin + Bastard Assignments + Browne/Thompson/Sanderson + Far Rainbow
  • Our third night at the Fiddler's Elbow in Kentish Town is coming up soon. Here's a little rundown on what's in store...

Gagarin – Graham Dowdall is a former member of post-punk band Ludus, more recently he has been providing electronic sounds for Pere Ubu. He also makes welsh-iranian folktronica with Roshi feat. Pars Radio. Solo, Gagarin produces unearthly, unclassifiable electronica, gleaning influences from the worlds of grime, field recordings, ambient music, and sound art.

Bastard Assignemts – Award-winning composers Edward Henderson and Timothy Cape begun working together at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, soon organising strange, surreal musical events in people's flats and derelict churches. They cite influences from George Asperghis to Samuel Beckett to Robert Ashley.

Browne / Thompson / Sanderson – Mark Browne, Daniel Thompson & Richard Sanderson make improvised music with saxophone, melodeon, guitar and "collected objects". Last year's "The 1926 Floor Polish Variations" album on Linear Obsessional Recordings was feted as a "collective stream of consciousness attentively spun" by Avant Music News.

Far Rainbow – London duo (and Zero Wave hosts) improvise with drums + electronics. New album "No Medicine That Can Cure a Fool" is out now on ltd. edition red cassette and bandcamp.

It would be very nice if you could make it.
    8pm–midnight. £5
